Normally you can’t feel these hemorrhoids but they do stick out sometimes.

Internal hemorrhoids (Inside hemorrhoids): These are the hemorrhoids up inside your rectum.

External hemorrhoids and skin tags can be removed if they are causing symptoms, but since they are covered with skin, there may be some discomfort for a time after removal. They are covered with skin and are sometimes called skin tags.

External hemorrhoids (outside hemorrhoids): These are the hemorrhoids on the outside that you can feel.

When they are symptomatic, they can cause pain, bleeding, and/or itching.
